The Jade Roller

Used in our own spa treatments at Perpetuity Skin + Spa, the origins of the Jade Roller lie in Chinese history. Known as the “Stone of Heaven,” jade tools were used to keep skin beautiful and women ageless. The naturally cool properties of jade have been used since ancient times to aid with muscle relief in massage.

Jade rollers work similarly to massage, working the tissue of your face gently to relax the muscles and release toxin buildup. Improvements in skin tone and tightening are among the benefits. Jade rollers are also a great way to get more out of your skincare products. Applying moisturizers and anti-aging serums to your skin before using your roller ensures maximum absorption and prevents your fingers from pulling at the gentle skin of your eyes too much as the product gets worked in.

Jade rollers are amazingly simple to use! Keep in the refrigerator for the best effect.

1. Start with a clean, dry face. If desired, apply facial serum or moisturizer.
2. Starting from the center of your forehead with the large end of the roller, move the roller from your browline to the edge of your scalp.
3. Continue working the roller from the center of your face out as you move in your eyes, nose and chin
4. Use the smaller roller for your eyes, and use light pressure
5. Gradually apply more pressure as you approach the outer edges of your face

These actions aid in breaking up sedentary blood vessels and moving pooled up blood in capillaries away from your face.

To Care: Wipe gently with a damp cloth and towel dry after each use
